JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie To Shoot Next Year, For 2015 ???
With the latest news of Warner Bros’. recent win in the lawsuit overs the rights for the Superman property (against the heirs of Superman co-creator Joe Shuster)
the studio is now expected to “accelerate development” on their much planned Justice League movie, shooting as early as next year with a 2015 release date in mind.
According to the LA Times, “Warner hopes to shoot the film next year and release it in the summer of 2015. The studio already has a “Justice League” script in the works. Next it needs to attach a director and then cast the lead roles.”
This will put the DC Super Team movie against Marvel’s Avengers’ sequel, Warner Bros. seems to be taking a reverse approach to Marvel when bringing the various characters to the big screen, as apparently the “plan is to spin out other superheroes into their own movies following “Justice League.”
Gangster Squad screenwriter Will Beall is currently working on the Justice League script as Warner Bros. wraps up production on next summer’s “Man of Steel” Superman reboot which is set for a June 14, 2013 release.
